24 Hour Counselor Help
I was really excited that I found the perfect resource for our teens to use when they needed to talk with someone and they could not reach one of our adult leaders. It's a 24 Hour Counselor that's available, well... 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Wrong. It's a page of articles put out by lifeway where teens can click →

Would the real Job Please Stand Up!
This week has been crazy for us. As I write this we are less then a week out from Lauren's big surgery. As the hour draws near my wife and I feel more and more attacked from all side. We have been feeling sick, wether it's from an actual bug or stress and exhaustion from Lauren's situation we don't know. →
Hockey & the Fee
I have to say one of the best experiences for me in the ministry here at FBC Williston was taking our youth to the Augusta Lynx hockey game Friday night. About 1/2 had never been to a hockey game before and I would say the majority really enjoyed it! I'm not sure if it was the fights, the bone crushing →
Back to School
Our students here in Williston kicked their 2nd semester off Thursday and headed back to the grind of school. Today I dropped by to see how things where going and let me tell you they are excited about the weekend! ;) Really, it brought a joy to my heart to walk around the schools and just spend time with teens outside →

Think On This
"As I reflect on my own ministry over the years, and look at where it has been, where it is now, and where it is heading, I am growing more an more convinced that it is not about programs. We are great at creating programs, but it is not programs that changes lives. It is serving. It is serving our →
Wendy's & Youth Ministry
Brian Eberly is at the National Youth Workers Conference this week and has posted some info over on his blog that I find interesting. Check it out! Here is a blurb from it. "Youth Ministry 3.0 (today) needs to by Not Driven. Instead of being driven we need to be present. We as youth workers need to be present with God →
Halo and church
I read an article on Think Christian about using video games as a form of outreach within the church. The specific game they where looking at is Halo 3, but there are many others. Mind you Halo 3 hasĀ receivedĀ a "M" rating. I'll leave you with my comment to the post and see what you think.Should we bring Halo into the →
Contemplative Youth Ministry
This book is a great read. I have really struggled with wrapping my head around the ideas and concepts and I am only about half way through. I actually think I have found a book that I will read more then once. The reason for the struggle is not the concepts themselves but how to implement them with our youth. →
